I recently enrolled in eBill, why can't I see my electric bill online? Will I be able to see all of my past bills as well?
Once you enroll, your eBill will be available for your next billing cycle and you will be notified via email when your statement is available for review online. You will be able to view up to 12 months of future bills. However, you will not be able to view the bills online that you have received prior to your eBill enrollment.
If I have multiple electric accounts, am I able to enroll each one?
Yes, it is easy. When you are logged in, make sure you have selected an account that is not already enrolled in eBill. Click on "Enroll." All the online registered accounts eligible for enrollment will be displayed. Select the box next to each of the accounts you wish to enroll in eBill, and follow the instructions to complete your enrollments.
How will I know when my bill is available and due since I no longer will receive my bill in the mail?
You will receive an email confirmation and obtain access to your online account upon successful registration. Then, each month, you will receive an email from ElectronicOnline@FirstEnergyCorp.com letting you know that your statement is available for review and payment online.
In addition, you may want to consider signing up for our text alerts if you'd like to receive a reminder via text message.
Is there a way to receive a notification of my bill via text message?
Yes, you can receive monthly billing reminders on your mobile phone. Just sign up for our text and email alerts program.
Select from the following alerts:
- Billing reminders, including alerts when a new bill is available, a payment is due, a payment has been posted, or no payment has been received
- Restoration updates during extended power outages
- Notifications of scheduled power outages
- Severe weather alerts in advance of storms
- Reminder of scheduled meter reading date
Why can't I add the Bill Ready alert email notification for my account?
If you have enrolled your account in eBill, you will already receive an email notification that your bill is ready. In order to avoid a duplicate email, we have excluded the addition of the Bill Ready alert for the same account.
How can I view my bill and bill inserts?
You will receive a monthly email notification from ElectronicOnline@FirstEnergyCorp.com letting you know that your statement is available electronically for review and payment.
Next, log in to your account, then click Bill and Payment. On this page, you will see a list of your bills from the last 12 months. You can view a PDF file of these statements, by clicking on "View eBill" in the last column. The PDF files are only available to customers enrolled in the eBill program.
Our Bill Inserts are also available on the website.
When I click "View eBill" nothing seems to display? Why?
Check your Internet settings. If you have the pop-up blocker off, you will be prompted to either open or save the PDF. Click “Open” to view your bill.
What if the eBill email notification gets blocked from my email? How do I avoid this?
It is your responsibility to ensure your electric bill is paid each month, even in the event your notification email is not successfully delivered to you (e.g. spam blockers).
To help avoid this issue, you may want to add ElectronicOnline@FirstEnergyCorp.com to your email address book. You can also sign up for monthly billing reminders by text message. If you sign up for text alerts, you can receive monthly reminders on your mobile phone when your bill is available and your payment is due and posted.
