Ohio

In order to maintain safety as a priority during the coronavirus health emergency, FirstEnergy’s (Ohio utilities/Pennsylvania utilities/Potomac Edison) are committed to closely monitoring any developments and taking appropriate precautions to protect the health and safety of our employees, contractors and customers. To do this, we’ve temporarily suspended several of our energy efficiency programs, including those that involve in-person visits to customers’ homes and businesses. Please see individual program pages for more information. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please check back soon for updates. Thank you.

In accordance with House Bill 6, FirstEnergy's Ohio Utilities will end all programs on September 30, 2020. Community Connections will remain open.

FirstEnergy's Ohio utilities offer the following programs and resources to help eligible customers manage their energy use.

For Your Home

For Your Business

Your participation in these programs reduces demand for electricity, which results in the creation of energy efficiency resource credits. Through your participation in these programs, you agree to allow your utility to take ownership of and sell these credits to reduce the costs charged to our customers to administer energy efficiency programs. Costs of this program may be recovered through customer rates in accordance with Ohio law.
