Unfortunately, unplanned power loss is occasionally inevitable. Here are some steps to guide you through a power loss.


First, find out if your neighbors are also without power

Check your neighbors to see if their power is out, too, or if only your location is affected.

What to do if only your power is out

  1. Check your circuit breakers or fuses.
  2. If no breaker is tripped or fuse is blown, the problem may be in the connection between our wires and your home. Report your outage using one of the following methods:

    • Report your outage online
    • Report your outage via text message. Text REG to 544487 (LIGHTS) to get started.
    • Call our toll-free, 24-hour Outage Reporting Line, 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877)
    • Customers with a communication disability can report an outage using the appropriate TTY/TDD relay service
  3. Follow the other steps to take during an outage.
  4. If you choose to use a backup generator during an outage, please review these tips to use it safely.
