You can transfer your electric service, from one location to another within any of our service areas, through this website. First, go to stop service (move out) to schedule the cancellation of your current account. Then, go to start service (move in) to schedule the startup of your new account.

To transfer service to a new location by phone, call our Contact Center.

Please call at least three days in advance (two days in New Jersey) to schedule your service transfer and have the following information ready when you call:

Information from your current account

  • Account number
  • Service address
  • Effective date (date service should be turned off)
  • Address to send final bill
  • Name and phone number of current landlord

Information for your new account

  • Name to place on the account
  • Service address
  • Home telephone number
  • Alternate telephone number
  • Name of spouse or roommate
  • Mailing address (if different from service address)
  • Effective date (date service should begin)
