Ohio’s Plan for What Comes Next
We’re listening, not just delivering. Here’s what we’re doing — and what it means for you.
We’re listening, not just delivering. Here’s what we’re doing — and what it means for you.
We’ve filed a three-year plan with Ohio regulators that puts your needs first. It delivers three things Ohio families have told us matter most: stable bills you can plan for, fewer outages so life doesn’t get interrupted and real relief when costs feel overwhelming. For the next three years, here’s what we’re doing for you.
Your electric bill is made up of four parts:
By spreading our investments over three years, the plan keeps bill changes gradual and predictable — easier for Ohio families to manage and plan for.
We’re making targeted investments in communities across Ohio, building on work already underway and planning for future infrastructure and equipment needs that help keep your power on.
About $800 million each year goes toward upgrading poles, wires and grid technology across our Ohio footprint — making outages less frequent and restoring power faster when they happen. Another $83 million per year is dedicated entirely to tree trimming, a leading cause of outages. This work will continue to improve reliability across our system, and our customers will feel the difference.

This plan includes continued and expanded financial assistance for Ohio customers, including:
The plan also continues energy-saving programs for residential customers through the end of the TYRP.
Need help with your bill now? Some of that assistance is already set aside and waiting for you.
We have help available for every situation, whether it’s affording your bill, facing dangerous temperatures, reducing your usage or just needing more time.

Ohio’s new law lets electric companies set rates based on their planned work for three years at a time instead of filing case-by-case. That's a win for customers.
Here’s what it means for your bill: your delivery charge — the part we control — aligns with the work we are planning for the system so you can understand what you’re paying to us through 2030. The plan seeks to keep this part of your bill manageable and predictable and on a transparent schedule our customers can follow.
Supply costs, the largest part of your bill, are set by energy markets and aren’t part of this plan. They move with the market; our part doesn’t.
We're keeping the part of the bill that’s ours to manage predictable and on a transparent schedule our customers can follow.
Ohio regulators will review and approve our plan before anything takes effect — and you have a voice in that process. Nothing changes until it’s been reviewed and approved.
