A Letter From the New President of FirstEnergy West Virginia and Maryland
Dear Valued Customer,
It is an honor to serve as the new President of FirstEnergy West Virginia and Maryland, where we provide power to you each day through Potomac Edison and Mon Power. I have spent my career in energy, starting out as a student engineering assistant, then moving on to other roles in engineering and leadership. As a longtime member of the FirstEnergy family, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with our teams in Maryland and West Virginia for many years, most recently as Vice President of Operations in both states.
I’ve seen firsthand the dedication of our employees and the strength of the communities we serve. As President, I am focused on building on that foundation through our efforts to enhance service reliability, invest in system upgrades and ensure our customers have the tools they need to manage energy use and costs. I’m also committed to keeping decision-making close to home so we can focus on local priorities while supporting economic growth and community initiatives in our region.
We understand how important it is to take control of your energy budget, especially as we approach the summer months when many people tend to use more electricity. In this edition of your customer newsletter, you’ll find details on initiatives designed to support you, from energy efficiency tips to assistance programs.
