Fowles-Pleasant Valley 138kV Line -Tower No. 2047 Replacement Project (OPSB Case No. 26-0078-EL-BNR)
In this Project, American Transmission Systems, Incorporated (“ATSI”), a FirstEnergy company, proposes to relocate and replace Structure No. 2047 that supports both the Fowles-Pleasant Valley 138 kV Q1 and Q2 transmission lines. The existing steel lattice tower has sustained extensive stream related ground erosion around two of the four legs with one leg fully exposed and the second leg in jeopardy of similar ground erosion as a result of being by an existing stream. The existing tower will be removed and replaced with a new double‑circuit steel single pole suspension structure and will be installed approximately 25 feet west along the existing centerline of the current tower location. The project is located in the city of Parma, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
