Sandusky South Substation and 138 kV Transmission Line Connections Project (OPSB Case No. 26-0527-EL-BLN)
In this Project, ATSI and Ohio Edison are proposing to construct the new 345/138 kV Sandusky South Substation and connect existing associated transmission lines to the new substation to provide two 138 kV retail delivery points for a new data center customer, Aligned Data Centers NEO PropCo LLC (“Customer”). The construction of the Sandusky South Substation and associated transmission lines is a three-phase Project comprised of the following:
- Phase 1: Relay Setting Adjustments (No OPSB filing);
- Phase 2: Construct entire footprint of the proposed 5.9-acre Sandusky South Substation and build the 138 kV yard which includes a 9-breaker, breaker-and-a-half and reconfiguration of 4 existing 138 kV transmission lines, subject of this filing;
- Phase 3: Construct the 345 kV 4-breaker ring bus within the footprint of the Sandusky South Substation, add additional 6 new 138 kV breakers and connect an existing 345 kV transmission line, subject of a future OPSB filing.
The Project is in Perkins Township, Erie County, Ohio.
