Glenmount Substation and 138 kV Transmission Lines Project (Case No.: 26-0487-EL-BLN)

In this Project, American Transmission Systems, Incorporated, (“ATSI”), a FirstEnergy company, is proposing to construct the new Glenmount 138 kV Transmission Substation. The substation will be located approximately 85 feet south of the existing South Akron Substation. The proposed project will also reconfigure the line entrances/ exits of the existing Firestone-South Akron 138 kV Transmission Line, South Akron-Toronto 138 kV Transmission Line, Lakemore-South Akron 138 kV Transmission Line, and the Dale-South Akron 138 kV Transmission Line. This reconfiguration will require removal of seven existing structures, and the replacement/relocation of five existing structures. The Project will require the installation of approximately 0.82 miles of 795.0 kcmil 26/7 strand ACSR conductor and 7#8 Alumoweld shield wire. The Project is located in the City of Akron in Summit County, Ohio.
