Fulton-North Star Steel Sydney 345-kV and Melbourne-Sydney 345-kV Transmission Line Relocations Project (OPSB Case No. 25-0772-EL-BLN)

In this Project, ATSI is proposing to to adjust the Dowling-Fulton 345 kV Transmission Line Tap exits at Fulton Substation (one structure) and Melbourne Substation (seven structures). ATSI submitted a Certificate Application to the Ohio Power Siting Board (“OPSB”) for the Dowling-Fulton 345 kV Transmission Line Tap to Melbourne Substation Project (“Project”) on March 7, 2023, in Case Number 22-0248-EL-BTX (the “Application”). The OPSB approved the Application and issued a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need (“Certificate”) for the Project on May 16, 2024. Since then, ATSI has determined that these adjustments to the Preferred Route are necessary based upon more detailed engineering and accommodation of the proposed substation reconfiguration. These adjustments are confined within the right-of-way area and surveyed corridor presented in the Application. Total eight (8) structure locations are being adjusted as part of the Project. The Project is in Fulton and York Townships, Fulton County, Ohio.
