East Akron-Evans 138 kV Transmission Line Switch Replacement Project Case No. 26-0266-EL-BNR

In this project, ATSI is proposing to replace an existing one-way inoperable switch, existing switch A-281 on existing structure #9177, by installing one (1) new SCADA controlled switch on a new single steel monopole on a concrete foundation, on the East Akron–Evans 138 kV Transmission Line. The new structure and switch will be located approximately 35 feet north of the existing structure. In addition, the existing 605 kcmil ACSR conductor will be transferred from structure #9178 to the new structure #9177, and new 605 kcmil conductor will replace the same conductor from structure #9177 to #6797. The existing 3#6 Alumoweld shield wire will be transferred from #9178 to #9177. The existing 101.8 kcmil ACSR shield wire between #9175 and #6797 will remain in place. New 3#6 Alumoweld shield wire will be installed from #9175 to #9177. The Project is located in the city of Akron, Summit County, Ohio.
