Event to be Held at Reading Area Community College November 7

READING, Pa., Nov. 4, 2015 -- Metropolitan Edison Company (Met-Ed) will hold an information session for its Power System Institute (PSI) line and substation worker training program at Reading Area Community College in Reading, Pennsylvania, on November 7 at 10 a.m.

Representatives of the college and Met-Ed will discuss the program and how to enroll for the fall 2016 semester.  PSI offers a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Electric Utility Technology.  Qualified students will receive tuition, books and lab fees courtesy of Met-Ed.  Students with the right grades and skills will have the potential to be hired upon graduation.  The enrollment for the class of 2015 includes 24 students.  Met-Ed is seeking a similar number of students for the 2016 class.
