Enjoy the speed and convenience of paying your monthly bill over the phone with ePay Preferred*, using your Credit/Debit Card or ATM Debit Card. Call 1-866-569-4770 - it's quick, easy and secure.

Choose from these convenient payment options:

  • Credit Card (Visa┬«, MasterCard┬«, or Discover┬«)
  • ATM Debit Card (Star, Pulse, NYCE, or ACCEL)
  • This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Please have the following information ready:

  • Electric company account number
  • Amount of payment
  • Your credit or ATM debit number on the front of your card
  • Month/year expiration date
  • Zip code where the card statement is mailed
  • 3-digit security card (CVV) from back of card
  • Telephone Number
  • Pen and paper to write down the confirmation number

Once your one-time payment is approved, a confirmation number will be provided. Payments made before 12 midnight will be credited to your account the next business day. Payments made after 12 midnight will be credited to your account within two business days.  

If a payment is to avoid disconnection of service or to restore service, please call your Contact Center with your confirmation number.


*The company, ePay Preferred, is the third party with whom FirstEnergy Service Company has contracted on behalf of your utility company to provide you this pay-by-phone option.
