Meteorologists for Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) continue to monitor Hurricane Sandy, now near Jamaica, and its potential to impact New Jersey. Today, projections show many possible paths for the storm, including development of a Nor'easter with heavy rain and wind, or movement of the storm away from land out into the Atlantic Ocean.

JCP&L is prepared to mobilize employees and resources where needed if Hurricane Sandy develops into a threat to the region.
