North American Young Generation in Nuclear* (NAYGN) is a national organization whose mission is to unite young professionals in the nuclear science and technology field who are working together throughout North America to share their passion for the field. More than 85 chapters across six regions of the U.S. and Canada represent young employees of nuclear vendors, nuclear generating plants and professional organizations.

The Davis-Besse NAYGN chapter is focused on developing the next generation of nuclear professionals. The Davis-Besse chapter promotes community outreach and involvement, and provides learning opportunities through educational events.

The Davis-Besse chapter of NAYGN will host its second annual "Teach the Teacher" event on Monday, October 20, 2014. The program is designed to assist Northwest Ohio educators in teaching nuclear science topics to middle and high school students. "Teach the Teacher" promotes awareness of the nuclear energy industry and identifies career opportunities in engineering and nuclear technologies.
