What is FirstEnergy's Speakers Bureau?
FirstEnergy’s Speakers Bureau provides information to the public on key issues facing our company and industry. Presentations are made to civic groups and customers in our three-state service area (Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Jersey) and where we have generating assets.
Our Speakers Bureau comprises a select group of employees recruited from across the company based on their ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. As company ambassadors, they offer the public helpful information on topics such as energy efficiency, electrical safety and producing electricity in an environmentally sound manner.
Are the presentations free?
Speakers Bureau services are offered free of charge to civic organizations such as local Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, as well as chambers of commerce and consumer groups. We ask that at least 25 people be present at your meeting.
What presentations are offered?
We offer four presentations:
- Electrical Safety Inside and Outside Your Home
- Energy Efficiency and Saving Money on Your Electric Bill
- Competitive Energy Markets and Customer Choice
- Producing Electricity in an Environmentally Sound Manner
What is the presentation format?
Presentations are in PowerPoint format, approximately 20 minutes in length, include a brief description of FirstEnergy, and conclude with a 10-minute Q&A period.
