FirstEnergy Corp.'s Export Now program provides export assistance with proven results! During the last three years, 40 participating FirstEnergy operating company customers generated 600 international leads that resulted in more than $16 million in projected sales. Agencies have noticed these impressive results - FirstEnergy's Export Now program has received the U.S. Department of Commerce's "Export Achievement Award" for 2003, 2004, and 2005 and also won the Ohio Governor's "E-Award" in 2005.
 
While participating companies pay their own travel and shipping expenses to trade shows, FirstEnergy arranges meetings with experts in international marketing and pricing, financial transactions, and transportation. In addition, participating companies receive:
  • Assessment of international marketing/sales opportunities - especially in Canada and Mexico.
  • Subsidized booth space for selected FirstEnergy customers - a $2,000 value - and assistance at premier international trade events.
  • Matchmaking meetings with prequalified customers, agents, and distributors.
