A business is only as good as its employees, and in Ohio, we know how important it is to hire and retain skilled workers. A skilled labor force with a wide range of training, experience, and a strong work ethic keeps the region prepared for the challenges of the new millennium. Although Ohio continues to have a higher than average percentage of workers employed in manufacturing; employment opportunities in high-technology, 21st Century fields are the fastest growing sector of the Ohio economy.
 
Recent employment projections show overall growth with a steady increase in manufacturing jobs, primary metal industries, and chemicals and allied products. Service-sector job openings are expected to be the highest in health services, restaurants, state and local government, and business services.
