Ohioans don’t have to travel far for exceptional higher education opportunities. Ohio boasts one of the largest - and finest - education systems in the United States. At least one college, university, or branch is located within 25 miles of every person in the state. Ohio has seven Edison Technology Centers that offer assistance in improving manufacturing procedures and providing opportunities in technology transfer. These advanced technology centers work with academia while facilitating solutions for companies in a variety of areas, including advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, materials, machining, polymers, and material joining.
Excellent vocational and technical education programs offer career opportunities for non-college bound young adults and are available to over 97 percent of Ohio high school students.
