Educational opportunities abound in New Jersey through a wealth of higher education institutions and research centers.
New Jersey takes pride in its 55 licensed institutions of higher education, which offer a broad range of academic and scientific study, and include some of the finest research institutions in the world.
There also are 10 state-funded Advanced Technology centers that combine university and private-sector expertise. These centers conduct innovative research and produce skilled graduates who specialize in industry sectors important to New Jersey's economy, including pharmaceutical, ceramics and fiber optics, agricultural molecular biology, food technology manufacturing systems, and individual productivity. New Jersey’s education and research initiatives will continue to focus on increasing productivity, global competitiveness, and profits.
