EEI sample tests and brochures

Certain positions at FirstEnergy require testing administered by Edison Electric Institute (EEI), a trade association for shareholder-owned electric utilities.

When we determine that a candidate is appropriate for a position that requires EEI testing, we send a letter directing the candidate to this Web page. We strongly encourage potential employees to review the sample test brochures and try the available practice tests that EEI has developed before taking the actual test.

Note that this site does not allow access to actual tests. Actual testing is held at various sites throughout FirstEnergy territory based on where the position is located.

Informational brochures
The informational brochures provide overviews of positions as well as examples of test questions. The brochures for FirstEnergy positions include:

Practice tests
Practice tests provide example questions and detailed discussions of the answers. It's important that you take the practice test as you would the real one, with similar intensity and concentration. The practice test is not completed online; download the entire test or just the individual module you would like to take. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. Practice tests available include:
