Position Requirements
Lineworker:
  • Experience in installing and removing poles, towers and structures, and installing and changing transformers, and installing and maintaining underground cable (experience must be current within past 2 years).
  • Successfully completed the Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship program or the equivalent
  • A valid CDL operator's license
  • Reside within 30-45 minutes response time to the reporting site; relocation assistance available
  • Successfully complete interview and job skill demonstration

Substation worker:
  • Must have electrical experience working with high voltage equipment (69KV and above). Experience must be current within past 2 years.
  • Must be able to overhaul, calibrate, and test new and in-service transformers, circuit breakers, and tap changers.
  • Must be able to install, adjust, inspect, repair, and remove substation systems and equipment (i.e. protective devices and systems, transformers, circuit breakers, interrupters, etc.).
  • Must be able to pass company-administered testing and successfully complete a job skill demonstration
